Following the success of the first training course “Clinical Teaching Methods Based on Simulation” held in September 2024, Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) is honored to welcome back the expert team from Alberta Children’s Hospital, Canada, for the second phase of the program “Effective Simulation-Based Learning: Curriculum Design and Practical Application.”
The training takes place from October 27 to 31, 2025, led by a team of renowned medical simulation experts from Alberta Children’s Hospital, including:
The course gathers over 40 faculty members from PCTU, including doctors and nurses who teach pre-clinical courses in health sciences. The opening session began with great excitement , combining engaging lectures, group discussions, and hands-on practice sessions at PCTU’s Medical Simulation Hospital.

The Pre-Clinical Simulation Hospital serves as the “heart” of PCTU’s practical training system. With five floors, over 70 practice rooms, and equipment simulating real hospital conditions, students have the opportunity to master essential clinical skills in a highly realistic environment.
Notably, this is the first simulation hospital in Vietnam, reflecting PCTU’s pioneering vision in health education. It is also the key reason the expert team from Alberta Children’s Hospital – Canada chose PCTU as a destination for academic exchange, sharing educational values and promoting sustainable development in modern medical education.

The return of the Alberta team marks not only a strengthened international partnership, but also a recognition of PCTU’s excellence in education, facilities, and faculty expertise.
Over the next five days, participants will experience innovative learning methods and gain practical insights into one of the most advanced teaching approaches in medical education today – simulation-based learning.
