International Academic Exchange in the Field of Pathology

Phan Chau Trinh University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital was honored to welcome a delegation of doctors and laboratory technicians from LUANG MÈ Hospital (Cambodia) for a five-day visit to observe and learn about the implementation of new techniques in the field of pathology.

At Phan Chau Trinh University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, the system of facilities and infrastructure is comprehensively invested, meeting professional requirements across both clinical and paraclinical specialties. In particular, the Pathology Department is capable of accurately analyzing complex specimens, ranging from genetic disorders and cancers to rare histopathological lesions. Advanced technologies help optimize processing time and ensure highly accurate diagnostic results. Notable examples include automated tissue processing systems with a capacity of hundreds of samples per day, modern immunohistochemistry staining equipment supporting the detection of key biomarkers in cancer treatment, and intraoperative frozen section biopsy systems that provide immediate results during critical surgical procedures.

One of the aspects that drew significant interest from the Cambodian delegation was the TeiCa equipment system, which has been synchronously invested and scientifically arranged. Operating the equipment in accordance with standardized procedures ensures accuracy, safety, and efficiency in diagnosis. Throughout the program, our delegation had the opportunity to access and acquire many highly applicable techniques on the TeiCa equipment system through the guidance and knowledge shared by Mr. Trung. These are also technologies that our hospital is currently interested in investing in.
