On August 18, Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) welcomed Da Nang C Hospital under the Ministry of Health for a professional exchange, during which the two sides shared perspectives on education and training, clinical practice, scientific research, and healthcare human resource development.

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Huu Tung – Chairman of the Board of Phan Chau Trinh University, introduced PCTU, including its establishment and development, educational philosophy, teaching methods, learning outcomes, and development orientations for the coming period. In particular, the practice-oriented training model, Simulation Hospital, and the strategy for developing the University–Hospital ecosystem were highlighted as important foundations for healthcare workforce training.
On behalf of Da Nang C Hospital, Dr. Nguyen Trong Thien, Specialist Level II – Director of the Hospital, shared information about the Hospital’s professional activities, training, and human resource development, while expressing a desire to connect with PCTU and gradually establish collaborative activities between the two institutions.
Accordingly, Da Nang C Hospital is willing to facilitate opportunities for PCTU students to visit, undertake internships, and study in a hospital environment, providing students with greater opportunities to gain practical clinical experience and become familiar with a professional working environment.
The connection between the two institutions is also supported by their human resources. Currently, PCTU alumni are working at Da Nang C Hospital, serving as a natural bridge between the University and the Hospital.
In particular, Da Nang C Hospital hopes to expand its collaboration with PCTU beyond clinical practice into other areas, including sharing data for scientific research, jointly organizing conferences and seminars, academic activities, advanced professional training for doctors and healthcare staff, and simulation-based training.
Da Nang C Hospital is a Grade I hospital under the Ministry of Health, with a capacity of more than 1,000 beds. Located in the center of Da Nang City, the Hospital is responsible for providing healthcare, medical examination, and treatment services to people in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Throughout its development, the Hospital has invested in modern facilities and medical equipment and has regularly received professional support from leading domestic experts as well as international specialists.
The Hospital has implemented numerous advanced and specialized techniques in various fields, including neurosurgery, gastrointestinal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, musculoskeletal medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, gastrointestinal endoscopy, and Otorhinolaryngology. Alongside these services is a modern system of diagnostic and treatment equipment, contributing to improved treatment outcomes and reducing the need to transfer patients to higher-level hospitals.
Another strength of Da Nang C Hospital is its focus on continuous professional development for its doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff. The Hospital regularly sends staff for specialized training programs domestically and participates in professional training and continuing medical education programs in countries such as Germany, the United States, Australia, Israel, Japan, and South Korea.
Inspired by Da Nang C Hospital’s desire to connect, the two institutions are opening up further opportunities for University–Hospital collaboration, sharing resources, expertise, and knowledge to support education, research, and the development of high-quality healthcare human resources.
