Every international student who chooses PCTU comes not only for clinical training, but also to experience a medical education environment where learning and patient care are seamlessly integrated within the University Hospital.

Last June, PCTU welcomed two fourth-year medical students, Taylor Lloyd and Emilia Miller from the University of Manchester (United Kingdom), for a four-week clinical placement at Phan Chau Trinh University Hospital.
This was not the first time students from the University of Manchester selected PCTU as their clinical training destination. Following the positive experiences shared by previous participants, the University continues to attract international students seeking hands-on learning and clinical exposure in Vietnam. Their return reflects the growing academic partnership between the two institutions.
For Emilia Miller, one of the most impressive aspects of PCTU was its Institute–University model. By bringing classrooms, the teaching hospital, and research activities together within a single ecosystem, students benefit from easier access to clinical learning, gain a comprehensive understanding of patient care, and experience how medical knowledge is applied in real-world practice.
Throughout the four-week placement, Taylor Lloyd and Emilia Miller will work alongside Clinical Instructors (CIs), observe a wide range of clinical activities, encounter diverse medical conditions, and gain insights into Vietnam's healthcare system. Beyond expanding their professional knowledge, the experience also offers meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange and global perspectives in medical education.
The continued decision of students from one of the United Kingdom's leading universities to undertake their clinical placement at PCTU demonstrates the University's growing reputation and recognition within the international academic community.
In addition, PCTU welcomed another group of students from Bond University (Australia) later in June. Through these ongoing international exchange and clinical placement programs, PCTU continues to foster a multicultural learning environment where students can learn, connect, and grow alongside peers from around the world.
