Opening of the 2024-2025 Academic Year: Embracing A New Era in Medicine

The opening ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year, held yesterday afternoon (October 16), not only marked new milestones for Phan Chau Trinh University but also left a deep emotional impact on all attendees.

This year, Phan Chau Trinh University welcomed over 200 new students, including more than 60 international students from countries such as Myanmar, Nigeria, and India pursuing a six-year General Practitioner program. Additionally, the university accepted over 20 other international students from countries like the USA, France, Hungary, Japan, Austria, and Poland to participate in clinical internship programs. The presence of a diverse international student body opens up numerous cultural exchange opportunities, allowing domestic and international students to learn from each other and thrive in an increasingly globalized environment.

During the ceremony, 20 professors and doctors representing the faculty performed the ceremonial donning of the white coat for the new students—a significant and special rite of passage for each newcomer embarking on their medical journey. The university also awarded more than 71 scholarships, including 7 for internal medical students, 2 full scholarships, 48 scholarships covering 50% of tuition for the entire course, 6 talent scholarships, and 8 Medical Aspiration scholarships.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Tung, Chairman of the University Council, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Administration, partners, hospitals within and outside the system, and the faculty members who have supported and contributed to the growth of the university. He emphasized, "The opening ceremony not only marks the beginning of a new academic year but also heralds a new era in medicine at Phan Chau Trinh University, where international and domestic students will learn, innovate, and change the world together."

The opening ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year was celebrated in a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere among all faculty and students, promising a year filled with success and proud achievements in the field of medicine.
