This morning (December 1), more than 70 students from Sky-Line Secondary & High School (Da Nang), accompanied by their teachers, visited and experienced the real-world training environment of health sciences at Phan Chau Trinh University of Medicine (PCTU). This activity is part of Sky-Line’s comprehensive career orientation program, giving students an authentic and lively perspective on the medical profession—an area that demands dedication, resilience, and strong professional competence.

Upon arriving at PCTU, the students were introduced to the unique Institute–School model, a typical ecosystem in medical education where theory and practice always go hand in hand. Here, health science students gain early exposure to real professional experiences from their very first semesters. Teachers also shared the learning journey required to become future doctors or healthcare workers, helping the students visualize the career paths they are interested in.
Next, the group began exploring the university’s learning facilities. The most striking highlight for the students was the Pre-Clinical Skills Simulation Hospital. Entering this space—designed exactly like a real hospital—their curiosity and excitement were evident through their expressions and lively conversations as they “touched” medical skills for the first time.

Here, students visited modern simulation practice rooms and experienced various clinical scenarios: performing CPR on a cardiac arrest patient; listening to heart sounds with normal and abnormal conditions; practicing standard surgical handwashing procedures; and interacting with the laparoscopic surgery simulation system. They were also introduced to new educational technologies through AR/VR-enhanced medical training. These moments of “playing the role” of healthcare professionals offered remarkably realistic experiences that sparked enthusiasm and inspired many young learners.

After the simulation hospital, the group continued to explore the Medical Museum, a unique exhibition space that “time-traveled” them through medical stories from ancient to modern times. This experience helped students understand the history of medicine in Vietnam and around the world, while also imagining the future of healthcare in the AI era—nurturing dreams of becoming health science students.
I’ve been torn between Economics and Medicine. But when I came to PCTU, especially stepping into the simulation hospital, I was truly amazed—everything was so modern, just like a real hospital. It was incredible! Today’s tour gave me a much clearer perspective on the medical field Tuan Anh, an 11th-grade student, shared after the trip
