Dental students begin their final-year clinical internship

On September 28, 2026, sixth-year Dental students at Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) officially began their final-year clinical internship, lasting six weeks from September 28 to November 6. This internship is part of the Removable Prosthodontics 2 course in the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.
 

During this internship, students from classes 21RHM1 and 21RHM2 were divided into groups and assigned to clinical training at Da Nang Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, and Phan Chau Trinh University Hospital.

At Da Nang Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, students from class 21RHM1 are organized into small groups, with each supervising dentist assigned to a maximum of two students in each specialty.

This approach continues to uphold PCTU’s clinical training principle even at external training facilities: limiting the number of students assigned to each Clinical Instructor (CI), thereby increasing direct interaction between students and their supervising dentists.

Over the next six weeks, students will rotate through specialized departments, including Emergency and Outpatient Care; International Treatment – Orthodontics – Prosthodontics – Paraclinical Services; Operative Dentistry – Endodontics – Periodontology – Pediatric Dentistry; and Surgery – Anesthesiology and Critical Care.

We wish all students a productive internship, with many opportunities to gain valuable clinical experience and become increasingly confident on their journey toward becoming dentists.
