Enhancing simulation-based teaching capacity with canadian experts

On October 31, 2025, Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) held the closing ceremony of the training course “Effective Simulation-Based Learning: Curriculum Design and Practical Application”, conducted by experts from the Alberta Children’s Hospital, Canada.
 

Following the success of the first course in September 2024, this second program took place over five days (October 27–31, 2025) with the participation of more than 40 faculty members in Medicine and Nursing, who are directly involved in pre-clinical teaching at PCTU.

Throughout the training, Canadian experts shared a variety of advanced pedagogical methods in medical education, especially the application of clinical simulation, interactive activities, and the “game-based learning” approach. These contents not only help PCTU lecturers enhance their professional competence but also promote innovative teaching mindsets that encourage learner engagement and creativity.
 

The success of this program demonstrates PCTU’s strong commitment to continuously improving teaching quality in line with international standards. The knowledge and skills acquired from the course will be transformed into more practical, modern, and effective learning experiences for students.

As a result, PCTU students can study in an internationally standardized simulation environment, gain early exposure to realistic pre-clinical scenarios, and develop comprehensive professional competencies—laying a solid foundation for their future careers as medical professionals.
