On June 15, a working delegation from the Faculty of Medicine – Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) held a meeting with Quang Nam Regional General Hospital to discuss professional matters related to the training and clinical practice activities of students currently studying at the hospital.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of PCTU, were representatives from the Faculty of Medicine, the Clinical Training Office, and the Departments of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics. Representing Quang Nam Regional General Hospital were members of the hospital leadership and representatives from various professional departments and units.
The meeting was held as part of the implementation of the clinical internship plan for Semester II of the 2025–2026 academic year. Prior to this, the university had assigned students from class 24YK to undertake clinical practice in the Internal Medicine and Surgery departments, while students from class 22YK were assigned to the Obstetrics and Pediatrics departments at Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.
During the meeting, both parties discussed various topics related to medical education and clinical practice, including internship regulations, assessment methods, clinical grading, medical record evaluation, teaching plans, as well as coordination in managing students throughout their internship period. Hospital representatives also proposed strengthening cooperation with the university in guiding clinical assessments and monitoring students’ learning progress.
The two institutions also discussed several important issues in preparation for receiving students in the coming period, including study plans, student allocation across departments, internship schedules, teaching content, and coordination mechanisms between university lecturers and hospital-based supervisors.
As a provincial-level Grade II hospital with more than 1,000 inpatient beds and 31 departments and functional units, Quang Nam Regional General Hospital is one of the key clinical training sites for students in health sciences disciplines. Its modern equipment system and large patient volume provide students with valuable opportunities to encounter a wide range of medical conditions, develop professional skills, and enhance their competencies.
In the coming time, Quang Nam Regional General Hospital will continue to accompany PCTU in training and providing clinical practice guidance for students in health-related disciplines. The collaboration between the university and the hospital contributes to improving educational quality, creating a practical learning environment, and helping students adapt early to the healthcare workplace of the future.
