There is an interesting similarity between a beautiful coastal city and a young medical university. Just as Da Nang welcomes millions of international visitors each year for tourism and leisure, Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) is increasingly becoming the destination of choice for medical students from leading educational systems around the world to study and undertake clinical training.
 

In particular, PCTU’s appeal to medical students from the United Kingdom is stronger than ever. Today, May 11, the university continued to welcome another group of 08 students from Brighton & Sussex Medical School for their clinical internship. This event has raised the total number of students from the “land of fog” undertaking internships at PCTU during the first five months of 2026 to nearly 20 students. Notably, these students come from world-renowned medical universities such as University College London (UCL), the University of Birmingham, Newcastle University, the University of Leicester, and Imperial College London.
 The continuous selection of PCTU by these highly prestigious institutions further affirms the university’s solid position on the global map of international medical training.

Amid the flow of international integration, PCTU offers a distinctive “Institute–University” model, where the university is closely connected with the hospital system, enabling international students not merely to “study abroad,” but to immerse themselves in a multicultural environment while directly experiencing a practical medical ecosystem. Here, medical knowledge acquired from prestigious UK universities is compared, applied, and enriched through hands-on clinical practice.

In a dynamic and globally connected city like Da Nang, PCTU is becoming a bridge linking advanced British medical education with the realities of Vietnamese clinical practice.
