In parallel, the workshop program provided opportunities for physicians, trainees, and medical students to directly practice microsurgery on biological models such as blood vessels, pig brains, chicken wings, and cardiac pedicles, while also experiencing advanced surgical microscope systems including ZEISS KINEVO 900S, ZEISS PENTERO 800S, ZEISS TIVATO 700, and ZEISS ETARO 300.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Lê Văn Tầm, Specialist Level II, Medical Director of Phan Chau Trinh University of Medicine Hospital, stated that the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence is opening up significant breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological, cranial, spinal, and microsurgical conditions—fields that demand an exceptionally high level of precision. According to him, investing in and mastering advanced technologies such as the ZEISS KINEVO 900S plays a vital role in improving treatment quality as well as medical workforce training.
"The conference was organized to update professional knowledge, share practical experience, and provide an academic forum for experts to exchange ideas. It also marks an important step in the development strategy of Phan Chau Trinh University of Medicine Hospital toward establishing a Center of Excellence (COE) for Neurosurgery and Microsurgery in the region," Dr. Lê Văn Tầm emphasized.
The investment in and commissioning of the ZEISS KINEVO 900S surgical microscope system not only enhances the hospital’s capacity to perform advanced neurosurgical and microsurgical techniques but also creates a modern training environment for physicians, postgraduate trainees, and medical students.
This serves as a foundation for the hospital to further develop its clinical expertise, promote scientific research, facilitate technology transfer, and gradually establish a specialized neurosurgical center for the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam regions.
