Pursuant to the Decision No. 2369 / QD-BYT dated July 5, 2013 of the Ministry of Health on assigning the unit to be trained and certified for the class "Laboratory biosafety". Decree No. 103/2026 / ND-CP dated July 1, 2016 of the Ministry of Health on regulations on biosafety at laboratories;
Currently, there is a need for additional biosafety specialist knowledge for lecturers, laboratory staff and those in charge of biosafety of schools, related training facilities, medical facilities. , testing facilities and individuals are increasingly high.
Center of Research and Application of Gene in Bio-medicine (CRAGB) of Phan Chau Trinh University with full and modern facilities to carry out research on the infectious diseases, research on drug-resistant bacteria in tuberculosis, pneumonia, obstructive pneumonia, hepatitis B, C, and ulcers taught by H. Pylori; perform early detection tests for cervical cancer risks, prenatal testing, genetics, parasitic migration and evaluate the effectiveness of stem cell use in the treatment of metabolic and urinary sugar… by quantitative cell telomer. All the above tests are done by modern clinical testing methods with the equipment that the center has equipped.
Phan Chau Trinh University has cooperated with Nha Trang Pastuer Institute to successfully organize a biosafety training course in the laboratory and issue the certificate "Biosafety level II" - Course 3 on September 30th. 2020 for nearly 40 students.
Now, based on the needs of students, Phan Chau Trinh University continues to associate with Nha Trang Pastuer Institute to organize a biosafety training course in the laboratory and issue the certificate "Biosafety level II. ”- Course 4.
1. Training objectives:
The training class equipped and updated the trainees with the theoretical and practical knowledge of biosafety principles.
1.1. Theory:

Laboratory-related infection;
- Risk assessment;
- Requirements for Laboratory, Biosafety level I & II;
- Safety equipment in the laboratory;
- Other hazards in laboratories, infectious agent management;
- Respond in an emergency;
- Laboratory decontamination, medical waste treatment.
1.2. Practice:
- Evaluate the biosafety assurance for biosafety labs I and II according to the checklist;
- Laboratory risk assessment;
- Use a pipette, use a biosafety cabinet, handle problems in the laboratory and in a biosafety cabinet, work with a biosafety cabinet, use an autoclave;
- Packaging and transporting patient samples, personal protective equipment.

6. Conditions for issue of certificates and certificate issuers:
6.1. Certification conditions:
Students are awarded a Certificate when:
Attend 100% of lessons.
- Complete individual assignments and group exercises according to the needs of instructors.
6.2. Certificate issuer:
Completion of the course will be awarded a certificate by Nha Trang Pasteur Institute for completion of the course "Biosafety level II".
