Research Collaboration with Ludwig Maximilian University - Germany

On the university's side, Prof. Dr. Le Van Cuong, the university president, warmly welcomed and shared the university's development orientations. He expressed the desire to enhance cooperation in education, student exchange, and scientific research. During the meeting, Prof. Parhofer, representing Ludwig Maximilian University, shared experiences in training and provided insights into the development orientation of clinical research, with a particular focus on chronic diseases, metabolic disorders, and potential research in community health and prevention. Also, during the exchange, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huong, Director of the CRIC Center, discussed the research development direction of Phan Chau Trinh University, focusing on advancements in stem cell technology, treatment applications, clinical, and community research. She also elaborated on the potential for student exchanges and connecting student activities between Ludwig Maximilian University and Phan Chau Trinh University in the future.

Immediately after the meeting, Prof. Parhofer shared with the team of instructors and doctors throughout the system about the context of "Teaching Medicine at Ludwig Maximilians University - Germany" and emphasized the variety of similarities in medical training programs of both universities, as well as the potential for postgraduate training. Additionally, Prof. Parhofer, along with Dr. To Viet Thuan, Head of the Training Management Department of the university, also shared “The results of the research collaboration on screening complications of diabetes” between the two units, demonstrating positive outcomes in the management and treatment of diabetic patients at Tam Tri Hospital in Da Nang – a practical base of the university. They expressed the desire to continue such collaborative programs to develop scientific research and promote research activities within the Institute - University in the future. Ludwig Maximilian University in Germany is one of the oldest public universities in the country. It consistently ranks highly in the list of the world's best universities. By 2017, the university had produced 42 Nobel laureates.
