Portrait of a female doctor

Information from the Youth newspaper in the morning of the end of 2019. I set out to find the ethnic female doctor K’Ho on the Di Linh plateau, Lam Dong province. Like a call from the bottom of my heart or like from a buried memory, now awakened. That female Dr. K’Ho, about 31 years old, like me, at the age of 32, followed the call of her heart to go to Ta Lai deep-lying area, Dong Nai province to help examine and build medical stations for ethnic minorities. A peaceful, free and serene attitude has crept into the soul on the journey to Di Linh Plateau as if searching for his own portrait 33 years ago.

The leprosy camp (leprosy, leprosy) Di Linh (Di linh leprosy dispensary) is located on a hill relatively isolated from the community. The camp was established by the French Bishop Jean Caissaigne in 1929. Many remaining documents show that that day was a desolate mountain area, the way back, the mountains were sparsely populated, only the ethnic minorities. K'Ho, Stieng live a nomadic lifestyle. Many people suffer from leprosy and tuberculosis but have no means of diagnosis, treatment or care. Father Caissaigne came to and cared for them from the spirit, sickness and destitute life of leprosy patients, and together with them built a camp to take care of Di Linh lepers from the beginning with many need and difficulties. in the middle of the mountains. The prayers of that sacrificial Man left that I read: “I WISH TO HAPPEN BECAUSE MY BROTHERS. I WISH TO HAVE SEX LIKE THIS. LIFE SUSTAINABILITY. AND I HAVE SAFE BETWEEN MY FEELING CHILDREN ”.

Do not know if these aspirations constituted the living reasons of the doctors at this leprosy including doctor K’Lang Linh? I met Dr. Kang Linh and two other doctors, all of them are ethnic K'Ho, Stieng, they are all excellent students, after graduating from the University The University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City and Pham Ngoc Thach HCMC have returned to work in this leprosy camp, where they left. Now those doctors are both working and studying graduate specialties.

Dr. K’Lang Linh is a general practitioner, but obtained many certificates such as echocardiography, general and a lot of cardiology knowledge, is in charge of cardiology examination for leprosy patients at the camp. Currently, Dr. Lang Linh wants to learn more about dermatology to improve the ability to better recover leprosy patients. I asked Dr. K’Lang Linh learned so much while the doctor's life was still difficult. “Leprosy patients also suffer from many other diseases, there are not many doctors here, so we have to learn many specialties and new medical techniques to help patients effectively without having to move to another place, our fellow patients still very poor ”, Dr. Lang Linh confided.

In the eyes of kindness, far away, but not thoughtful, there is no stir about rice and money. The female doctor had only one sadness that was how the rate of leprosy patients was decreasing for her compatriots, how the place where she was working was eligible for good care by her and her colleagues. more for lepers at the camp.

According to Soeur Mai, there are many general hospitals that employ Dr. K’Lang Linh with a very high regime, because of Dr.. K’Lang Linh is professional and has a kind heart and is loved by the patients, but Dr. still refused and just wanted to return to serve the leprosy patient, where she has since gone to school and become a Dr.. Dr. Lang Linh is happy with her job and with what she has. She is a noble soul doctor.

I donate Dr. K’Lang Linh was a LyLy receiver purchased from the US. I am really touched and admire Dr. Lang Linh. She lives for her medical career and serves her patients with a pure mind in difficult circumstances but is always eager to learn.

Female Dr. K’Lang Linh has instilled in me a driving force in building my medical training career at Phan Chau Trinh University, training a whole generation of mind doctors.
