The seminar was held at a time when cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (Cardiac MRI) is increasingly recognized as one of the most advanced diagnostic imaging modalities, enabling comprehensive assessment of cardiac structure, function, and myocardial injury. This technology significantly improves diagnostic accuracy and supports the development of appropriate treatment strategies for patients.
Joining the program was MSc. MD. Duong Phi Son, a Cardiac MRI specialist from Medic Hoa Hao Medical Center, Ho Chi Minh City. Drawing on extensive practical experience in advanced cardiac MRI techniques, the speaker shared the latest updates on imaging protocols, the application of MRI in diagnosing cardiovascular diseases, and the growing integration of artificial intelligence to enhance diagnostic performance and support personalized patient care.
One of the seminar's highlights was the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in cardiovascular MRI. Through GE HealthCare's advanced technologies, participants explored emerging solutions that optimize imaging workflows, improve image quality, shorten examination time, and assist physicians in more efficient data analysis. Beyond technology updates, the seminar also strengthened participants' capacity to adopt and apply advanced diagnostic imaging techniques, meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of modern healthcare.
Phan Chau Trinh Institute of Medicine – University and GE HealthCare will continue collaborating to organize specialized training programs and scientific seminars aimed at updating healthcare professionals on the latest knowledge and technologies in diagnostic imaging. Previously, in 2025, the two organizations jointly hosted the scientific seminar “Musculoskeletal Imaging.” Continuing this direction, throughout July 2026 they have organized a series of specialized scientific programs on cardiovascular medicine and diagnostic imaging, contributing to professional exchange and the dissemination of advanced clinical techniques.
In addition to educational activities, Phan Chau Trinh Institute of Medicine – University is currently utilizing a wide range of GE HealthCare diagnostic imaging systems in patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment. The combination of advanced technology investment and continuous professional education contributes to improving clinical quality, optimizing healthcare processes, and providing patients with access to state-of-the-art medical technologies.
