Connecting Neurosurgical Experts at the Seminar “Neurosurgery in the Era of Minimally Invasive Surgery”

On March 14, 2026, at Phan Chau Trinh University Hospital, a professional seminar titled “Neurosurgery in the Era of Minimally Invasive and Modern Navigation Techniques” was held with the participation of doctors and specialists in the field of neurosurgery.

The seminar was organized to update the latest knowledge and techniques in minimally invasive neurosurgery – a rapidly developing trend in modern medicine. Minimally invasive surgery is not simply about making “smaller incisions”, but also about the integration of advanced imaging technology, precise navigation systems, and a function-preserving surgical mindset, helping optimize treatment outcomes while minimizing damage to patients.

During the program, experts shared many important topics such as:

• The operating principles of neuronavigation systems, endoscopes, and new-generation surgical microscopes
• Minimally invasive approaches in neurosurgery and appropriate clinical indications
• Tumor resection techniques and vascular interventions within narrow spaces supported by modern technologies
• The integration of real-time imaging (intraoperative ultrasound, intraoperative MRI) with surgical manipulation

Notably, the seminar also emphasized the philosophy of “Safety first” – always prioritizing the protection of brain parenchyma and healthy neural structures, while highlighting the importance of absolute precision in navigation-guided surgery, as even a deviation of 1–2 mm may lead to serious consequences.
