A THRILLING START – PCTU STILL BURNS WITH FIGHTING SPIRIT!

On the afternoon of May 19, at the University of Danang Stadium, the Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) volleyball team kicked off their campaign in the 2025 National Student Volleyball Championship SV6, facing off against FPT University (FPTU) in the first match of Group B – Round 1.

In the first set, the PCTU warriors in white entered the match with great confidence, executing sharp attacking plays and scoring with precise spikes. However, FPTU – with their wealth of playing experience – quickly adjusted their formation and launched an effective counterattack. The set became a point-for-point battle. PCTU missed key opportunities in crucial moments and ended the set narrowly behind at 22–25 in favor of FPTU.

In the second set, PCTU tried to switch up their strategy, but faced difficulties as FPTU had already adapted to their play style. Strong blocking and solid defense from FPTU disrupted PCTU’s rhythm. The set concluded at 14–25, marking a 2–0 victory for FPTU in this opening match.

Although the team did not secure a win, their courageous spirit, team cohesion, and unyielding determination have proven that PCTU is not a team to be underestimated this season. This was only the first group stage match, and there are still two key games ahead to turn things around.

With the leadership of Coach Lê Ngọc Quý, we hope the team will make the necessary tactical adjustments to come back stronger in the upcoming matches.
