I still keep the notebook from my medical school days, but many pages only I understood at that time because of so many characters and abbreviations.

When we went to clinical school, we all had a small notebook in the pocket of a blouse to record the experiences of the teachers, the previous lockers on each specific patient, and of course, rarely in books. Clinical study means learning in the hospital bed, is a lifelong learning process of a physician. It most clearly shows the noble tradition of the medical profession, the previous generation trains and mentors the next generation, learning from each other to save the sick. Because of this common ideal, the trust, intimacy, and closeness between teachers and students develops, which can be said to be friendship and brotherhood. Each physician himself does not stop learning, training himself, being his own teacher. The profession of Medicine is a profession of healing but at the same time it is also a profession of teaching, being both a physician and a teacher.

Without understanding since, the concept of "the word doctor" is bad and difficult to read is considered as an obvious fact, although certainly not all doctors write difficult words. As a colleague in a narrow field, no matter how badly we write, we can make inferences because of the same knowledge and thinking, except for a small percentage still unable to read and understand. But the script is not only a means of communication between doctors, but also nurses, pharmacists, medical staff and other specialists, especially patients and family members. Therefore, negligence can actually lead to Medical errors. That is why, when I was a professional, I did not accept the doctors of my unit who wrote illiterate or sketchy in the work of prescribing and recording medical records. I always say that difficult to read or read is your choice, not your circumstances. Maybe you write badly but must be clear, meticulous, accurate and honest, this is a matter of responsibility with the safety of the patient. Just a few letters wrong can lead to confusion about the drug name, dosage, route of administration, causing serious consequences, affecting the health and life of the patient. Years later, we met again, young doctors in the past still reminded, "we remember every day and never have to 'regret' because of the writing".

I hope the more and more complete information technology system of the medical profession will make the "legend" with the name "written as badly as the word doctor" is only in the past. Today, most of the medical knowledge has been digitized. Learners look up information quickly, conveniently and save time, and don't have to take notes as much as before. Information technology is increasingly applied in hospitals to help ensure accuracy and safety for patients. However, even in developed countries, electronic medical records cannot completely replace paper medical records. The writing of doctors is therefore still one of the problems related to medical errors that health managers cannot ignore, especially in post-examination, review of medical records, prescriptions. Full and clear recognition of disease developments and management in medical records is also one of the most important criteria of the Vietnam Hospital Quality Criteria set issued by the Ministry of Health.

The writing of doctor if actually worse than other professions is due to circumstances of study and work, not those who choose a medical profession with a "word like bumble" or "infectious" quality. from the previous generation.
