In particular, the first-generation Japanese encephalitis vaccine was successfully produced, introduced into the expanded vaccination program in 1997, contributing to reducing the incidence of this disease, reducing the number of deaths and sequelae. business, reducing the burden of disease for people and society. This is the first vaccine from Vietnam to be exported abroad with nearly 5.5 million doses to India.
"Prof. Lien has contributed to promoting the vaccine manufacturing industry of Vietnam to develop stronger, become the strength and achievement highlight of preventive medicine", Minister Long said.

Professor Lien was born in 1940 in Hoi An, Quang Nam, then followed his family to the North. In 1963, the country needed scientists to participate in the fight against "germ war" in the war against the US. She was a third year student at Hanoi Medical University, she volunteered to enter the battlefield in the South.
Graduated from a doctor in late 1965, in early 1966 she worked in the South. In early 1972, she returned to the North and then went to study vaccine technology in Germany. Back home, her whole life has been with the laboratory, research and vaccine production.
