TOSHIBA creates a machine that detects 13 types of cancer with just 1 drop of blood

According to Japanese news site The Mainichi, Toshiba has just created a test machine that detects 13 different types of cancer, with 99% accuracy. It is worth mentioning that this machine only needs 1 Drop of blood from the person who comes for testing, and 2 hours of blood sample analysis at a cost of 180 USD (20,000 Yen) per test.

The machine's cancer detection technology, developed by Toshiba with the National Cancer Research Institute and Tokyo Medical University, is based on the detection of MicroRNA molecules that only appear in the blood when a person is suffering from cancer. Thanks to that, with just one Drop of Blood, Toshiba's machine can recognize Cancer: stomach, esophagus, lung, liver, bile, pancreas, intestine, ovary, prostate, bladder, breast cancer, musculoskeletal and glial tissue cancer. You can see, these are all types of malignant cancer that progresses quickly, this machine can detect.

Currently, to test for Cancer, blood tests, biopsies, many kinds of tests are costly and tiring for patients .. Meanwhile, the identification chip on Toshiba's machine makes the process of early detection of Cancer. so economical and fast. The MicroRNA identification chip in this machine was developed based on previous research by Toray Industries in June, and is expected to be widely tested in Japanese hospitals by 2020.
