With the goal of always being student-centered, the school creates maximum conditions for students to actively study according to 3 advanced teaching and learning methods:

• Problem-based learning: this is the trend of modern education where lecturers are only the ones providing topics, real situations, and clinical cases. Students have to learn how to ask questions, ask problems and answer questions by themselves, and solve problems by themselves.
  Team-based learning: Students work in groups by themselves. Lecturers only provide information, resources, listen, observe and guide students.
  Competency-based learning method: Based on the output competencies, the school will provide the necessary blocks of knowledge (also known as the knowledge block). Bloc of practical skills are usually deployed in parallel or immediately after completing the theoretical block. Thus, learning is always accompanied by practice, in practice will clarify the theory at the same time of study.

Students practice in the laboratory, skill lab (pre-clinical skills), a model room with full modern equipment. Moreover, with the unified institute-school model, students can practice at the hospital in the most favorable conditions.

With such advanced teaching and learning methods, students of Phan Chau Trinh Medical University have achieved some remarkable results such as: students are more confident, more mature, break the barrier of self-confidence.
