On February 1, 2026, Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) organized the program “Welcoming Spring with Joy” at the Center for Nurturing Disadvantaged Children (Hope Village) in Da Nang City, bringing the children a warm, safe, and meaningful Lunar New Year atmosphere.

The program was part of a series of Tet care activities under the theme “Warm Spring – Connecting Love”, implemented by PCTU students with the desire to spread the spirit of sharing, strengthen community bonds, and bring spring earlier to children in difficult circumstances.

In the lively atmosphere of the days leading up to Tet, the children participated in many traditional folk games such as mandarin square capturing, tic-tac-toe, ball tossing into cups, and blindfolded pot smashing. Bursts of laughter and eager eyes created a joyful Tet, helping the children improve physical fitness, communication skills, and teamwork spirit.
In addition, the painting workshop “Colors of Dreams – Sending Hopes for the Future” became an emotional creative space where the children freely expressed their dreams, thoughts, and aspirations through each stroke. It was also an opportunity for students and children to connect, understand, and accompany each other.

With their strengths as healthcare students, PCTU students also organized health education and awareness activities for Tet, such as personal hygiene, food safety, balanced nutrition, and accident and injury prevention. The content was delivered in a lively manner through scenario-based games and simple skill practices, making it easy for the children to remember and apply.
In particular, the students personally prepared warm chicken rice meals to give to the children, contributing to a meaningful and heartfelt early spring evening.

Sharing at the program, Ms. Phan Thi Van Duyen – Deputy Director of Hope Village – said:
The children were very happy and joyful to receive the care from PCTU students, who brought them a meaningful, beneficial, and highly humane Tet program.
For more than 30 years, Hope Village has been a common home for hundreds of orphaned children, children with disabilities, and those in difficult circumstances. And this spring, the love continues to be extended through the actions of “Sowing small seeds of love – Nurturing a great spring” by PCTU students.
