In the healthcare system, nursing is a profession that plays an inseparable role alongside physicians. If doctors are the ones who provide diagnoses and treatment plans, nurses are the professionals who directly monitor, care for, and accompany patients throughout the recovery process. The close coordination between doctors and nurses creates a solid foundation for treatment effectiveness and the quality of healthcare services.

Beyond professional expertise, nursing is also a career rich in humanistic values. Nurses not only care for patients’ physical health but also support their mental well-being through dedication, patience, and empathy. They are the people who always listen, share, and bring confidence to patients during their most difficult times.
To become a highly competent nurse, students must undergo a systematic and continuous training process. The curriculum provides a strong foundation of standard medical knowledge, clinical practice skills, and the ability to handle real-world situations. Training in hospitals and early exposure to patients help shape professional thinking while improving accuracy and responsibility in patient care.
Therefore, the training environment plays a very important role in this journey.
At Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU), the Nursing program is implemented in two tracks:
• — General Nursing
• — Dental Nursing.
Students begin hands-on practice from the first year through the university’s system of 9 dedicated teaching hospitals along with its simulation hospital, allowing them to develop clinical skills and patient communication skills early on.
PCTU is a standards-driven university with an integrated Institute–University ecosystem that offers numerous on-campus learning facilities, such as teaching hospitals, a simulation hospital, a biomedical research and application center, a medical museum, and a specialized library,… This synchronized training model has attracted international students from many countries to study and gain experience, while also enabling the university’s students to broaden their perspectives, develop professional thinking, and strengthen their global integration capabilities.
After graduation, career opportunities in nursing are always wide open. The high demand for workforce in hospitals and healthcare facilities both domestically and internationally provides students with many choices.
In particular, PCTU creates opportunities for students who wish to work directly within the university’s own healthcare system.
Nursing is not an easy path, but it is a deeply meaningful one. If you want a career where every day you receive appreciation from patients and trust from doctors, if you want to see your value reflected in every recovery, then this is a worthy choice to begin with.
