Case 977-978 (patient 977-978) in Hai Duong: All 46 years old, related to the Ngo Quyen epidemic point (there were 9 cases at this translation point). Currently, 2 patients are isolated and treated at Hai Duong City Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Case 979 (patient 979) in Hanoi: Female, 33 years old, has an address in Phu Thuong, Tay Ho, Hanoi. The patient had a history of traveling to Da Nang on July 22-25, then was isolated at home.

On August 16, the patient was sampled and sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing, the results on August 17 were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Case 980 (patient 980) in Can Tho: Female, 37 years old, with addresses in Duc Nhuan, Mau Duc, Quang Ngai. On August 15, the patient returned from the Philippines to Can Tho on flight VJ7816, immediately quarantined after entering Can Tho.

On August 16, the patient was tested by the Center for Disease Control of Can Tho province and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at Can Tho City Hospital of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease.

Case 981-983 (patient 981-983) in Quang Nam: age from 15-90 years, including 1 case is a patient from Da Nang Hospital; 2 cases were F1 of previous patients. Currently, 3 patients are isolated and treated at Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.

Up to 6am on August 18, Vietnam had a total of 983 cases of COVID-19, of which 645 were caused by domestic infection, the number of new cases related to Da Nang from July 25 to now is 505. shift.
