On the morning of May 3, Vietnam did not record a new case of Covid-19 infection

From 6pm on 2/5 to 6pm on May 3, the Ministry of Health said that Vietnam has temporarily not recorded any new cases, both cases of community infection and entry.

Vietnam currently records a total of 2,962 cases of Covid-19, of which 1,595 cases were caused by domestic infections.

From April 29 to now, the country has discovered 18 cases of Covid-19 related to the Ha Nam epidemic (spread from people out of isolation after entry), including: 12 cases in Ha Nam, 1 case in Ho Chi Minh City. , 2 cases in Hung Yen, 3 cases in Hanoi.

On May 2, Vietnam recorded a new outbreak involving a group of Chinese experts who entered, quarantined from April 9 to 23 in Yen Bai, and then passed through many northern provinces. When he returned home, one of these experts was positive for SARS-CoV-2.

Currently, Vinh Phuc province has discovered 6 cases of Covid-19 as karaoke staff in the city. Phuc Yen has a history of close contact with this expert.

The total number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic area under medical monitoring nationwide is 39,870 people. In which, 553 isolated people at the hospital, 22,046 people were isolated concentrated in other facilities, 17,271 isolated cases at home and in the residence. Regarding the situation of treatment, medical facilities have cured 2,549 Covid-19 patient. Those who have not recovered had 34 cases of SARS-CoV-2 negative three times in a row, 19 cases were negative for the second time and 19 cases were negative for the first time.

According to information from the National Expanded Immunization Program, on May 2, Vietnam had an additional 6,143 people in 13 provinces and cities that were vaccinated against Covid-19.

Specifically: Bac Giang: 210 people, Hai Duong: 422 people, Ha Tinh: 56 people, Ha Giang: 1,930 people, Cao Bang: 176 people, Son La: 454 people, Quang Tri: 158 people, Gia Lai: 492 people HCMC: 155 people, Tra Vinh: 129 people, Binh Phuoc: 67 people, Kien Giang: 1,811 people and Ca Mau: 83 people.

Thus, up to now, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Public Security have vaccinated the first and second rounds in the provinces and cities for 532,247 people.

This group is all medical staff and staff directly treating Covid-19 patients; medical staff perform the task of taking samples, testing, and tracing; members of Covid-19 community groups, the Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of the local epidemic, police forces and the military.
