VIETNAM: 6 new COVID-19 patients, all from Bach Mai Hospital

Early this morning, March 30, the Ministry of Health announced that there were 6 new cases of COVID-19 in Vietnam, bringing the total number of patients to 194 people. All 6 people are working at Truong Sinh Company, which provides meals for Bach Mai Hospital.

Accordingly, 6 new patients are as follows:

Patient 189 is female, 46 years old, with address at Tan Quang, Nong Cong, Thanh Hoa, is an employee of the boiling water delivery division of Truong Sinh Co., Ltd. in departments / rooms of Bach Mai Hospital.

A patient living in the same house with 2 company employees was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. In the past two weeks, she has gone nowhere far from the hospital campus. On March 25, she showed symptoms of cough, sore throat and fever.

On March 28, she was transferred to isolation at the Dong Anh Center for Tropical Diseases, and the samples were transferred to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. Currently, the patient is in isolation at the Dong Anh Center for Tropical Diseases, in stable health.

Patient 190 is female, born in 1971;

Patient 191 is female, born in 1984;

Patient 192 is female, born in 1997;

Patient 193 is female, born in 1999;

Patient 194 is a female, born in 1978.

The Ministry of Health said it will update information about these patients soon.

As of March 30 this morning, there are a total of 194 COVID-19 patients in Vietnam, 25 people at Bach Mai Hospital alone (in which there are 16 patients in the hospital cafeteria area).

According to the director of Bach Mai Hospital Nguyen Quang Tuan, as of the evening of March 29, there were no more medical staff infected by the hospital. The entire hospital is currently locked down.
