THE 7th CA IN VIETNAM INFECTION VIRUS CORONA
On the morning of February 2, the Ministry of Health confirmed that Vietnamese overseas Americans are isolated in Ho Chi Minh City positive for corona virus, bringing the total number of cases in Vietnam to 7.
On January 14, the patient flew from the US to Vietnam on flight 660 of China Southern Airlines. On January 15, patients were in transit at Wuhan Airport, China, within 2 hours. On January 16, the patient entered Vietnam at Tan Son Nhat airport and moved to a hotel on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, staying here until hospitalized.
On January 27, the patient showed signs of coughing much. On the afternoon of January 31, the hotel staff took him to the Hospital for Tropical Diseases of Ho Chi Minh City, quarantined, and took samples for nCoV testing.
Currently, the patient is treated in isolation at HCM Hospital for Tropical Diseases, breathing oxygen, taking antibiotics and antiviral.
The hotel the patient has stayed in currently has 6 guests and 8 staff members. Local police requested this place not to accept more guests to stay. The ward's "quick response team for corona epidemic prevention" disinfected and isolated the number of guests and hotel staff from February 1 to February 15 to monitor and prevent the risk of infection.
This 7th patient is one of four people announced quarantined by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health on the afternoon of 1/2 due to suspicion of infection with the new corona virus. The remaining three are French from the same family. They left Wuhan to travel to Vietnam, showed respiratory inflammation, and were monitored in isolation at the City Children's Hospital.
