Patient N.G.L., female, 3 months old (born 5-11), in Quat Luu commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province, is the grandson of patient P.T.B. (related patient N.T.D. - 1 in 8 people returning from Wuhan was previously reported, treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases and discharged on February 10).

On January 28, patient N.G.L. The mother took her to the house of Mrs. P. (grandmother) to play and the mother and daughter stayed with their grandmother for 4 days in the village of Son Loi, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province.

After identifying patients with P.T.B. (the grandmother) was sick, the Center for Disease Control of Vinh Phuc province investigated and made a list of close contacts, including grandchild N.G.L. and my mother.

During the daily monitoring of close contacts according to regulations, medical facilities discovered on February 6, nephew N.G.L. present with a cough and runny nose, with unknown fever.

Immediately after that, the Center for Disease Control of Vinh Phuc province took samples and sent them to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing. Currently, patient N.G.L. and her mother are separated from each other (because the patient is still young) at Quang Ha clinic, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province and are in stable condition.

The patient's mother is still healthy, is being closely monitored, has been sampled and is waiting for the results.

Test results of patient samples of N.G.L. positive for a new strain of corona virus.

Thus, up to this point, Vietnam had 15 people suffering from acute respiratory infections due to new strains of corona virus, 10 cases in Vinh Phuc province alone.

In the areas that detect the cases, the local authorities and conduct close monitoring and supervision of those who have close contact with these patients. Some people who are suspected of having the disease are quarantined and sampled for testing.
