One more person Vinh Phuc is positive for nCoV

Other localities with nCoV patients include HCMC three people, Khanh Hoa one person and Thanh Hoa one person.

Cases in Ho Chi Minh City include two Chinese human fathers treated at Cho Ray Hospital (the son has just been discharged from the hospital), an American overseas Vietnamese who has been transiting Wuhan airport for 2 hours and is being treated at the Tropical Hospital.

The patient in Khanh Hoa who spread from two Chinese father and son, was recovered and discharged from the hospital.

The patient in Thanh Hoa, a member of the Nihon Plast Company group from Wuhan, was recovered and discharged from the hospital. The other two people in the group of workers, with no test results, are on isolation and follow up.

Up to now, the total number of samples tested in Vietnam is 759, of which 745 results are negative.


Noon 9/2, the Ministry of Health confirmed the 55-year-old woman in Vinh Phuc was positive for nCoV, bringing the number of cases in Vietnam to 14.

This is the 9th person in Vinh Phuc who is positive for nCoV and is the 4th person in this province to have cross infection domestically.

The patient is a freelance worker in Ai Van village, Son Loi commune, Binh Xuyen district. She is the neighbor of a 23-year-old girl who came back from Wuhan and infected with nCoV.

On January 28, she came to her house to wish Tet for about an hour and then back. She is on the list of close contacts under the strict supervision of the Center for Disease Control in Vinh Phuc province.

On February 4, the patient had symptoms of fever, headache, and runny nose. She was put in isolation, examined and treated at Quang Ha Regional General Clinic, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc Province. The sample was sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing. Results positive for nCoV virus, by RT - PCR technique.

The patient is on quarantine at the Quang Ha Regional General Clinic, with stable health.

Vinh Phuc was the locality with the most nCoV-positive cases, with 9 people. In which, 5 people from the group of workers returned from Wuhan, 4 people were infected internally. These four people were all infected from a 23-year-old girl, mother, sister, a relative and now a neighbor.
