Add 24 positive nCoV cases

At 6 a.m. on May 15, the Ministry of Health recorded 24 cases of nCoV infection, all of whom were Vietnamese traveling on the VN0062 flight from Russia to Quang Ninh, immediately isolated.

New cases were recorded from 289 to 312, including 23 men and one female, aged 24 to 47.

The flight brought 345 Vietnamese citizens back to the country on May 13, according to the program from Vietnamese authorities.

After entering, all passengers and crew members are isolated right in Thai Binh, Quang Ninh and Hai Duong. They are unable to infect the community.

All were tested using the RT-PCR method, of which 24 were positive for nCoV.

23 of these patients were transferred to the General Hospital of Thai Binh province, the rest were transferred to Hospital No. 2 in Quang Ninh province.

Thus, up to now, Vietnam has recorded 172 cases of "intrusion" isolated immediately after entry; the rest due to infections in the community. From April 16 to now, 29 days, Vietnam has not detected any more infectious cases in the community.

Vietnam will continue to review and organize flights to bring citizens home on the basis of personal aspirations.
