Successful organization of the Comprehensive Management Course for Type 2 Diabetes Patients from February 15th to 18th, 2023.

I. To provide the latest knowledge on the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, blood glucose control, screening and management of complications, assessment and management of multiple risk factors, and technology in diabetes management, Phan Chau Trinh University has successfully organized the "Comprehensive Management Course for Type 2 Diabetes Patients." The specific information of the course is as follows:

1.1. Knowledge: Understanding the epidemiology of type 2 diabetes worldwide and in Vietnam. Understanding the diagnostic methods and criteria for diabetes diagnosis. Familiarity with chronic complications of diabetes, the relationship between blood glucose control and complications. Screening methods and timing for complications, as well as knowledge of complication treatments. Understanding cardiovascular and renal risk factors in diabetic patients, how to identify risk factors, and their management. Updating knowledge on the functioning mechanisms, advantages, and limitations of continuous glucose monitoring devices, as well as their indications.

1.2. Skills: Proper diagnosis and appropriate indication of diabetes. Coordinating measures, including lifestyle adjustments, medication, etc., to achieve blood glucose control goals, tailored to each patient's characteristics. Performing timely screening for complications according to recommendations and appropriate interventions based on medical evidence. Evaluating and detecting cardiovascular and renal risk factors. Coordinating interventions to manage risk factors.

1.3. Attitude: Recognizing the importance of comprehensive management of type 2 diabetes patients. Being responsible, respectful, and building trust with patients. Collaborating and sharing knowledge with colleagues. 

The course attracted nearly 500 participants from various units and major hospitals in the city, such as Becamex International General Hospital, Vinmec Phu Quoc General Hospital, Medic Binh Duong General Hospital, Hoa Hao Healthcare Co., Ltd. - Polyclinic, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control, Victoria Healthcare Clinic, Thu Duc City Healthcare Center, and physicians from the Tâm Trí Healthcare System: Tâm Trí Đà Nẵng, Tâm Trí Sài Gòn, Tâm Trí Đồng Tháp, Tâm Trí Nha Trang, Tâm Trí Cao Lãnh, and Tâm Trí Hồng Ngự. The number of eligible participants for certification is 360, following Circular 26/2020/TT-BYT.
