Student uniforms - Reflection of Culture and Ethical Standards

In medical education, criteria are not only reflected in knowledge and professional skills but also manifested through the behavior and attire of students. A disciplined learning environment should commence with how students dress, particularly in the case of the Blouse uniform.

Phan Chau Trinh University consistently strives for such expectations. Therefore, the uniforms of the university students, often referred to as the dress code, not only showcase dynamism and intelligence but also bear the cultural imprint of Vietnam. To ensure adherence to standardized designs and the specific requirements of each field, student uniforms are tailored based on individual measurements.

Every student at the university will be provided with four types of uniforms: ceremonial attire, daily study attire, the Blouse uniform, and practical attire for laboratory work, surgery rooms, and hospital internships.
 

Ceremonial attire is utilized in significant events at the school. For females, the traditional "ao dai" is a symbol of Vietnamese culture, while the male attire reflects youthfulness and elegance.	The Blouse uniform is designated for students majoring in Medicine, Medical Imaging Technology, and Laboratory Technology when participating in internships at hospitals or in laboratory settings.
The Scrubs, also known as practical attire, will be used in laboratories, experiments, operating rooms, etc. Each department will have its own distinct color.	With neutral tones and classic design, the everyday school attire provides a comfortable feeling, reflecting the dynamic nature of the Generation Z. Moreover, the deep blue color of the garment is not only a symbol of intelligence but also represents wisdom

Especially in the medical environment, students are required to adhere to certain rules when it comes to their attire:

• Practical uniforms, including Blouse uniforms, are not allowed to be worn outside of the hospital or lecture halls, training areas, and practice facilities.
• The Blouse uniform symbolizes the medical profession. Therefore, students are expected to treat their uniforms with respect, properly maintain them, and comply with regulations.
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the attire is crucial when attending both classes and hospital duties.

Maintaining a sense of professionalism in attire not only helps students cultivate positive habits but also contributes to the development of a professional demeanor in their future work engagements.
