See the Signs. Save Lives.

Awareness of the warning signs of type 1 diabetes saves lives. Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any age. At diagnosis of type 1, approximately 46 percent of patients in the United States are in diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). DKA is a life-threatening condition that can occur from a delayed diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. This is a solvable problem and an issue where awareness can make a meaningful difference.
