Notice of the Student Services Department about the Corona virus pneumonia

Dear PCTU students!

According to the report of the infectious disease surveillance system of the Ministry of Health, until 11:00 am, February 4, 2020, the situation of respiratory infections caused by a new strain of corona virus (nCoV) in the world. as follows:

- Total number of cases: 20,628, of which in mainland China: 20,438

- Total number of deaths: 427, of which: China: 425, Philippines: 01 and Hong Kong (China): 01 death

- Total number of cases outside China: 190.

- 26 countries and territories (outside of China) reported cases

The Student Department informs students of the whole University need to hold some of the following information:

1. Those returning from China to Vietnam need to self-segregate at home and undergo health monitoring within 14 days. Need to report to the nearest local health authority (Phan Chau Trinh University Clinic) for assistance when needed.

2. If there are signs of fever, cough, or shortness of breath, wear a protective mask and immediately notify the nearest medical facility for prompt consultation, examination and treatment. Call the health facility prior to arrival for symptoms and schedules that have moved in recent times for proper support.

3.If any of your students or family (only those living in the same family) went to China, please follow up within 14 days.

Students should contact the Student Affairs Department on 070 2222 459 Mr. Bin, if you feel signs of illness and are concerned about returning to class.
Phan Chau Trinh University will continue to closely monitor the situations that occur and always accompany you.
 Please note that: Phan Chau Trinh University is still operating normally, teaching and learning at PCTU has been implemented since February 3, 2020. There are currently no reported cases of corona virus at PCTU. The school is still taking measures to prevent Corona virus thoroughly.
