Overview

On October 15, 2007, Phan Chau Trinh University (PCTU) was approved by the Ministry of Education & Training, by Decision No. 6589/QĐ-BGDĐT, to deliver the full time Program of Bachelor Degree in Vietnamese Studies, and to start recruiting from 2007.

Goals of the Vietnamese Studies Program:

- Strengthen students knowledge in Geography, History, Culture, Economy - Society, Politics of Vietnam. 

- Practise the skills and techniques in tour guiding for students to work in Vietnam and overseas..

- Build tour organization and planning skills; providing knowledge about tour routes of many areas, sites and attractions, entertainment centers, etc. Also knowledge of related services like hotels, restaurants, transportations. They’ll learn how arrange stops in a tour realistically (in terms of time, weather and tourists health, etc) and still ensure that the whole tour be carried out with full excitement.

- Tour guides, workers or organizers, managers and operators in hotels, restaurants, travel companies, transportations, events and other companies.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

a. For selection based on the national High school graduation examination: applicants register their designated course on the form of the national examination. The paperwork and deadline are determined by the Ministry of Education and Training. Applicants must quote the school code of DPC, and the program codes by their selected priority order. After the examination result comes out, applicants shall submit their original copy of the scorecard to the University to complete the admission

b. For selection based on High school transcript of result, those documents are required:

- Admission registration form. Applicants can collect the form at the University, or download from its website.

- A copy of the High school graduation certificate, or a copy of a temporary certificate (if they graduate in 2018).

- A copy of the High school transcript of result.

ADMISSION FEE

By the regulations on admission fee by the Ministry of Education & Training, and by the rules of PCTU Admission committee, if there are private rules

Tuition

- Planned tuition for the school year of 2018 - 2019: 5.5 million VND/term.

- Tuition fee raise roadmap is according to the regulations of Phan Chau Trinh University.
